Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 4, 2026
These terms govern your use of Tally (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Tally, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What Tally is
Tally is a tool for tracking recurring bills and forecasting your bank account balance based on data you enter yourself. Tally is not a bank, does not move money, does not connect to your real bank accounts, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Forecasts and balances shown in Tally are estimates calculated from the information you provide - they are only as accurate as that information, and Tally is not responsible for financial decisions made based on them.
Accounts
You authenticate with Tally through Auth0. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation.
- Use automated means to scrape or overload the Service.
Your data
You retain ownership of the data you enter into Tally. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it's used. You can export or delete your data at any time as described there.
Fees and paid plans
Tally is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future, under which some features may require a subscription. If we do, accounts created before paid plans are introduced will retain access to the features available to them at no charge for at least twelve (12) months from the date paid plans are introduced. We'll provide reasonable advance notice before any feature you use begins to require payment.
Service availability
Tally is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tally and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including financial decisions made based on forecasts it produces.
Termination
You may stop using Tally and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask you to re-accept them in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tally's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
